Scraps of Meaning

Join Selina, our new instructor! Let's get creative with the scraps you just can’t part with but maybe don’t know what to do with. The goal for this class will be to make significant progress on (or complete!) a quilt top that puts your treasured odds and ends on display. Whether you’ve been saving a loved one’s old clothes, sitting on scraps of antique cloth, or have some leftover fabrics that mean a lot to you, this class will get them out of the closet and into your life.
Our first lesson will focus on finding inspiration, hand and machine construction techniques, making a plan to achieve your aesthetic vision, and getting started. Before our second gathering, we will continue to work on our quilt tops on our own, before coming together again to discuss finishing and quilting techniques. Pick up supplies prior to class.
